Account Deletion
This page explains how to delete your YDSEvo account and what happens to your data. The YDSEvo app is available only in Turkish, so the in-app buttons and screens are labeled in Turkish. The original Turkish label is shown in bold, with its English meaning in parentheses.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open the app and tap Ayarlar (Settings) in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll down to the Hesap İşlemleri (Account Actions) section.
- Tap Hesabı Sil (Delete Account).
- A first message explains that all of your data will be permanently deleted and reminds you to cancel any active subscription separately. Tap Devam Et (Continue).
- A final message confirms that the action cannot be undone. Tap Hesabımı Sil (Delete My Account).
Your account and personal data are deleted immediately, you are signed out, and the app returns to the start screen.
If you can no longer sign in
If you have lost access to your account, you can still request deletion by emailing info@ydsevo.com with the subject line "KVKK Request". We process these requests within 30 days, as required by Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) and the GDPR.
What happens after you confirm
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no waiting period and no recovery window — once you confirm, your account cannot be restored.
Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are removed permanently:
- Account and login details (email address, display name, sign-in method)
- Your quiz sessions and results
- Your word-list and flashcard progress
- Your onboarding answers
- Your selected exam(s)
- Your registered devices and push-notification settings
- Your daily streak history
- Your detailed answer history
- Your question-explanation viewing history
- Your subscription entitlement records (the internal records used to grant Pro access)
Data that is kept
- Anonymized question explanations. Explanation content is shared across all users as a cache. Any link between this content and your account is removed, so it contains no personal data that can identify you.
- App Store / Google Play billing records. Subscription and billing records are held by Apple and Google, not by YDSEvo. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — you must cancel it yourself in your App Store or Google Play account to stop future charges.
