About YDSEvo

What is YDSEvo?

YDSEvo is a mobile exam preparation app for candidates sitting the Turkish YDS, YÖKDİL and YDT foreign-language exams. It combines exam-format questions, timed mock exams, vocabulary practice, a contextual dictionary and detailed performance analysis in one app. YDSEvo is built by EVO Education Technologies and is currently available on iPhone and iPad.

Which exams does YDSEvo prepare me for?

YDSEvo covers the YDS, YÖKDİL and YDT exams, with dedicated content prepared for each one. On the YÖKDİL side all three fields are covered: YÖKDİL Sağlık (health sciences), YÖKDİL Fen (natural sciences) and YÖKDİL Sosyal (social sciences). The mock exam mode also supports the e-YDS layout — the digitalised version of the paper YDS — so you can practise in the format you will actually sit.

Who is YDSEvo for?

YDSEvo is used by academics, postgraduate students and public-sector staff preparing for YDS; postgraduate candidates preparing for YÖKDİL Sağlık, YÖKDİL Fen or YÖKDİL Sosyal; and high-school students preparing for YDT as part of university entry. It works whether or not you attend a language course: YDSEvo can be a practice tool alongside formal classes or a self-contained preparation resource on its own.

Who writes the questions in YDSEvo?

YDSEvo's questions are written by EVO Education Technologies' English-language teaching and question preparation experts. Every question is quality-checked and reviewed before it is published. Questions are prepared independently, using the structure and difficulty level of real questions asked in previous exams as the reference.

Is YDSEvo affiliated with ÖSYM?

No. YDSEvo is an independent exam preparation app with no official affiliation, partnership or endorsement from ÖSYM. For exam dates, application requirements and official announcements you should follow ÖSYM's own channels. YDSEvo provides practice content for exam preparation only.

Questions and content

How many questions does YDSEvo have?

YDSEvo's question pool is kept broad enough to cover every question type that appears in YDS, YÖKDİL and YDT, and it grows regularly. Because the pool is continuously expanding we don't publish a fixed figure here; you can see the content currently available for each question type and vocabulary set inside the app.

Is the question pool updated?

Yes. YDSEvo's question pool is continuously expanded, with new questions and vocabulary sets added regularly. That means you keep finding content you haven't worked through as you continue studying. New features are also released periodically.

Do the questions come with explanations?

Yes. Every question in YDSEvo has a detailed explanation. It sets out what the question is asking and evaluates each option in turn: why the wrong options are wrong, and why the correct one is correct. You reach explanations straight from the question screen; use is limited on the free version and unlimited with a Pro subscription.

Which question types does YDSEvo cover?

YDSEvo's question pool covers the question types you meet in YDS, YÖKDİL and YDT, and you can separate your practice by question type. That lets you focus on a type you're weak on and build sessions from that type alone. The current list of question types is shown in the practice section inside the app.

Study features

Can I take mock exams in YDSEvo?

Yes. YDSEvo's exam simulation mode is timed and supports the e-YDS layout, the digitalised version of the paper YDS. That means you practise under the same time pressure you'll face in the exam. When a mock exam ends you can review your results by question type and see where you lost time.

How does vocabulary practice work in YDSEvo?

YDSEvo presents the vocabulary you need as curated sets. The sets cover the important words that appeared in previous exams, plus words that are statistically likely to appear in upcoming ones. So you don't waste time on words you've already mastered, you can build sessions containing only the words you still need to improve.

How do I track my performance?

YDSEvo keeps detailed statistics on your performance in mock exams and vocabulary sets. You can see your gaps through your correct and incorrect answers, your success rate per question type, and your study history. Based on that data, the app highlights which topics and which words you need to work on.

Is there a dictionary inside the app?

Yes. YDSEvo's contextual dictionary opens straight from the question screen, so you never have to leave the question and switch to another app. Unlike a conventional dictionary, it shows the contextual meaning of a word in that particular sentence rather than listing every possible meaning — so you aren't left guessing which sense applies. Dictionary use is limited on the free version and unlimited with Pro.

Can I set daily study goals?

Yes. You define your own targets in YDSEvo: you pick the exam you're going to sit and set your practice goals and daily targets. The app tracks your daily study streak and, if you allow it, sends reminder notifications. That turns preparation into a regular habit rather than one-off cramming.

Platforms and devices

Which devices does YDSEvo run on?

YDSEvo runs on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets, and you can download it from the App Store or Google Play. Because you can study on your phone or tablet, there are no coursebooks to carry around.

Is there an Android version of YDSEvo?

Yes. YDSEvo is available on Google Play with the same features as the iOS version. You can download it now from Google Play.

Is there a web or desktop version of YDSEvo?

No. YDSEvo is currently a mobile app only, running on iPhone, iPad and Android; there is no browser-based web or desktop version. Your study history is stored against your account, so signing in with the same account picks up where you left off.

What language is the YDSEvo app in?

The YDSEvo interface is in Turkish: menus, settings and explanations are all presented in Turkish. The questions themselves are in English, as the exam is. Although this website is published in both Turkish and English, the app itself currently has a Turkish-only interface.

Subscription and billing

Is YDSEvo free?

You can download YDSEvo for free and use a limited part of it at no cost. Access to the full question pool, the mock exams and the complete vocabulary sets requires a Pro subscription. Current subscription options and prices are listed on the YDSEvo page on the App Store — we don't repeat them here because pricing varies by country.

What does the Pro subscription unlock?

Pro removes the limits of the free version: the full question pool, the timed mock exams and the complete vocabulary sets all become available, and you get unlimited use of the answer explanations and the in-question dictionary. New questions and sets added to the pool during your subscription are included too. What the free version covers and what Pro currently includes are listed on the app's App Store page.

How do I cancel my YDSEvo subscription?

You cancel from your App Store account's subscription settings. Cancellation cannot be done inside YDSEvo or by us:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your Apple account at the top.
  3. Choose Subscriptions.
  4. Select the YDSEvo subscription and cancel it.

After cancelling, your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Can I get a refund for my YDSEvo subscription?

Because payments are taken through the App Store, refund requests are assessed by Apple. YDSEvo does not take the payment itself and never sees your card details; it only receives a record showing whether your subscription is active. You can request a refund through Apple's "Report a Problem" page or from your App Store purchase history.

Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?

No. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscription and billing records are held by Apple rather than by YDSEvo, so to stop future charges you must cancel the subscription separately in your App Store account. See our account deletion page for the details.

Account, data and privacy

How do I sign up for YDSEvo?

You can sign up with your email address, or sign in with your Apple or Google account. An email address is required: it is used for account recovery and login. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your name — where provided — is used only to personalise the interface.

How do I delete my YDSEvo account?

You can delete your account from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no waiting period and no recovery window. The app's interface is Turkish, so the buttons are labelled in Turkish:

  1. Tap the profile icon at the top right of the screen.
  2. Scroll down and choose Hesabı Sil (Delete Account).
  3. Confirm the operation.

Our account deletion page sets out exactly which data is deleted and which is retained. If you have lost access to the app, write to info@ydsevo.com.

What data does YDSEvo collect?

YDSEvo collects your account details (email address, user ID, and your name if provided), your learning data (quiz results, correct and incorrect answers, topic progress, study streaks) and device data (device model, OS version, push token, anonymised crash logs). Your card details are never passed to YDSEvo. Our privacy policy has the full breakdown.

Is my data secure?

Your data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or above and at rest with AES-256. Row-level security is enforced, which means each user can only ever access their own data. Payment data never passes through YDSEvo's servers — it is handled directly by Apple.

Does YDSEvo sell my data?

No. YDSEvo does not sell your data. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run the service: infrastructure such as the database and authentication, analytics, and error logging. You can find the list of those providers and what each is used for in our privacy policy.

Is YDSEvo compliant with KVKK and GDPR?

Yes. YDSEvo is operated in line with its obligations under Turkish KVKK (Law No. 6698) and the GDPR. To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection, write to info@ydsevo.com with the subject line "KVKK Request". Requests are answered within 30 days, as the law requires.

Support and business

How do I contact YDSEvo support?

The fastest route is to email us directly at info@ydsevo.com. You can also use the form on our support page. We typically respond within 2 business days. The same channel covers account and login, subscription and billing, technical issues, content feedback, and data and privacy questions.

I found a mistake in a question — how do I report it?

The easiest way is to report it from inside the app. The flag icon at the top right of the question screen exists for exactly this:

  1. Tap the flag icon at the top right of the question screen.
  2. Choose a reason.
  3. Add a short description.
  4. Submit the feedback.

Alternatively, write to us through our support form using the "Question & Content Feedback" subject. Reported questions are re-assessed by our question preparation experts and corrected where needed.

Can institutions and publishers license YDSEvo?

Yes. We offer institutions and publishers two kinds of arrangement:

  • Volume subscriptions: YDSEvo subscription pricing that scales with the number of learners you are enrolling, for language schools, universities and companies.
  • Question supply: YDS, YÖKDİL and YDT questions from our pool, with copyright transferred. These questions are never used in the app or shown to its users; they are kept separately for business use only.

Enhanced institutional tooling such as an admin dashboard is not something we offer today; we are working on B2B solutions in that direction. Get in touch through our business page.
